Ziyun Temple is located in Ziyun Mountain, one of the "Top Ten Sceneries" in Jiangxian County, Shanxi Province, which is an ancient Buddhist temple with organic combination of humanity and nature. You can see Zhongtiao Mountain from its southeast and Zijin Mountain in its northwest. It adjoins Jiangxian and Yuanqu in its south, Quwo and Houma in its north, Yicheng and Qinshui in its east and its west side spans to Wenxi and Xiaxian County In total, it covers than 200 Mu (a measuring unit of area; it’s around 0.0667 hectares). It is a famous Buddhist place in southern Shanxi Province with its superb geographical location, convenient transportation, beautiful environment, pleasant climate and prosperous Buddhist affairs.
Ziyun Temple is a Buddhist temple rebuilt by Mr. Bai Xiande whose ancestral home is Baijiajian village in Jiangxian County. Mr. Bai has moved some Qing Dynasty buildings here for reconstruction in 2000. It is an important part of the whole Boiling Spring Longyan Mountain tourist attraction. There are also patches of southern bamboo forests, mysterious sources of hot spring and beautiful Crescent Lake in this area, which is a rare tourist attraction in the northern region. In every Buddhist Festival, you can often see the auspicious scenery of "purple air", "purple cloud". Therefore, it is called "Ziyun (purple cloud) Temple". During the Tang and Song Dynasties, with the expansion of the construction, the boiling water gurgling in front of the temple, the pagodas standing erectly on the top of the temple, the smoking of incense filling in the air around the temple, the pine and cypress circling the temple, and the flowers and trees covering everywhere. You can look diverse beautiful scenery when they move around. Its classic and gracious quality attracts a multitude of pious believers and worshipers. It is also named “splendid purple mountain”after its magnificence.
You can step over two“Mountain Gates”, "Maitreya Buddha Hall", "Daxiong Hall", "Guanyin Hall", "Wenshu Hall", "Puxian Hall", "Dianzang King Hall", "Depository of Buddhist Sutras", "Buddhist Courtyard" and "Xuanwen Poetry Hall". Its layout is delicate which is integrated with difference and similarity, false and real complement---scattered but not messy, solemn but also exquisite.

Self-driving route: If you get down from Yuansun Expressway at Hengshui, Jiangxian County, you need to drive along the direction of Qindong Line toward Jiangxian County for about 13.3 kilometers, and then you will arrive at Jiangxian County where you keep driving along the Jiangqu Line to the north for about 10 kilometers. Then you will be here.
